Classic Alfredo Sauce
1 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
1 beaten egg
1 cup (or even more) good parmesan cheese
1/4 cup butter.
Melt butter over low heat; add the cream and egg. Whisk in the parmesan until it's thickened.
Menu Suggestions -- Pour over vegetables, cooked chicken or fish. I like to buy the Fruits de Mer at Central Market, cook that up in butter, then pour the Alfredo Sauce over it all. Or make a nice white fish and asparagus for dinner, then pour the sauce over the whole plate.
