Admittedly, it is a tad embarrassing to reveal how my obsessive need to find more and more free e-books led me to build a meta-search engine to feed the obsession faster. My free elibrary is hovering around 2600 volumes; my rationalization is that it's a family library, and you know what Fitzwilliam Darcy said about a family library.

The main search page searches about 20 free e-book sites, all at once. More free search engines that didn't lend themselves to being searched exclusively for free books are listed on the More Free Books Sites page.
